DUMBARTON’S home game with Queen of the South, which was due to be played on Saturday, November 11, will now be allocated a new date.
Sons’ victory over Stranraer tonight means that they will have an Irn Bru Cup quarter final that weekend instead.
The Doonhamers could yet reach the quarter finals themselves – and indeed be Dumbarton’s opponents at that stage – if they beat Montrose tomorrow.
We will have news of a new date – almost certainly a midweek night – for the league meeting once it is arranged.
Meanwhile, Sons will find out their quarter final opponents when the draw takes place on Tuesday at 1pm.
