DAVID Prophet has announced his intention to step down from his club secretary duties at the end of this month.
After more than 20 years involvement, Proph is hanging up his boots, so to speak, but will remain an ardent supporter.
He said : “It’s been a real privilege to be involved in an official capacity at the club, however my own work circumstances have made things difficult for me to continue, so the time is now right to move aside.”
We’ll have a full feature on Proph’s career at DFC published very soon, meantime all at the club wish him well in his ‘retirement’ and look forward to seeing him in civvies!
In related news, assistant secretary David Richardson has also indicated that due to work commitments he is leaving his role.
After a decade of involvement, David leaves with the heartfelt thanks and appreciation of all at the club.
The above changes means that Chief Executive Gilbert Lawrie will now take on the secretary’s job and will be assisted by admin manager Antonia Kerr.
