Friday 5th August 2016
JOE Thomson today arrived at the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium on a temporary transfer until January 2017 from Premiership Champions Celtic.
Thomson was born in Paisley and played for Gleniffer Thistle Boys Club before joining the Celtic Development squad in 2013. He signed a two-year contract with the Hoops in June this year.
The 19-year-old is highly rated by Celtic and was a key part of the Development Squad that finished the SPFL Development League as undefeated title-winners last season.
Described as a box-to-box midfielder, Thomson has been capped at Under-19 level for Scotland.
Manager Stevie Aitken is delighted to bring in Joe, who has a great deal of potential, to bolster his squad ahead of the league campaign starting on Saturday.
Welcome to the #sonsfamily, young sir.
