Last Time Both Clubs Met: Sons faced Arbroath at the C&G Systems Stadium back in August and thanks to a last minute Ross Forbes strike, Dumbarton took a share of the spoils. Sons lined up as follows (in front of a crowd of 627) – Grant Adam, Craig Barr, Andy Dowie, Willie Dyer, Kyle Hutton, Bobby Barr, Stuart Carswell, Ryan Thomson, Rory Loy, Michael Paton, Iain Russell.

What’s our record like against Arbroath? We have played the Lichties 166 times with the very first competitive game taking place in 1922 (3-0 to the Sons). Arbroath have the edge on victories, recording 72 with the Sons on 58. As above, the last time the teams locked, the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

What’s the team news? Ian Durrant and Jamie Ewings will be looking after team matters at Gayfield. There are doubts surrounding several players ahead of the trip to Arbroath. Grant Adam and Craig Barr are definitely sidelined with full-back Willie Dyer joining them on the injury list. Ryan Thomson and Rory Loy are also nursing injuries and both are expected to miss out tomorrow. Robbie Mutch has had his emergency loan period extended from Falkirk and subject to registration should be available for the clash against the league leaders.

Who are our rivals playing this weekend? East Fife entertain Brechin City and Airdrie make the journey to Links Park to face Montrose. Raith Rovers are at home and host Stranraer. Meanwhile Forfar Athletic travel to Ochilview to play Stenhousemuir.
