SONS boss Jim Duffy gave his post match reaction to SonsTV and the waiting press yesterday following the late goal that meant the loss of three points.
The manager was understandably disappointed with the outcome.
He said : “We put a lot into the game and I’m disappointed for the players who gave everything.
“We’re affected by injury.
“Willie Dyer with an illness which was reported on Friday meaning that Craig (Barr) said he would go on the bench.
“We just have to keep working hard and try to strengthen and we will strengthener the next couple of weeks.
“We don’t have a game next week which is probably a blessing for us at this moment in time.
On new signing Ben Armour, Jim said – “Ben worked hard and it was a difficult day for him as there wasn’t much space to play and he was up against two big powerful centre backs
“But we can see elements of his game. He hold the ball in very well.
“We didn’t bring Ben in to be the answer to our problems. We brought him in to be an option for us.
“And until we get players in and players fit again we don’t have too many options, but he (Ben) will learn from the game against Brechin.”
Sons next Ladbrokes League One outing is against Montrose at the C&G Systems Stadium on 26th January 2019, kick-off is 3pm.
