Rangers goalkeeper Mason Munn completed formalities on a season long loan deal to join Dumbarton in September 2026.

The 20-year-old Northern Ireland U21 international, who has already made his first team debut for the Ibrox club, spent last season on loan at Dunfermline Athletic and Forfar Athletic – and is highly rated at Auchenhowie, having moved to Glasgow from Glentoran in 2022.

Mason will provide further competition in our goalkeeping ranks with Aidan Rice continuing his recovery from injury – and boss Frank McKeown was delighted to bring him to The Rock – sponsored by Marbill Coaches.

Gaffer Frank McKeown said: “Mason had strong interest from clubs in the Championship and in England earlier on in the window and it didn’t quite materialise, so it’s excellent business for us to get this deal over the line and get him to The Rock.

“Mason is a player that Rangers’ coaching staff have extremely high hopes for, and it speaks volumes about the environment we have here that we are being trusted again to support their best talent through the next phase of his career.

“He gained vital experience last season during his loan spells, but now he’s determined to be a number one and get regular games under his belt. Competition for the number one jersey will be fierce, which can only help all of our keepers in their development.
