He began his senior career at Airdrieonians and also turned out for Dunfermline Athletic before his first move to the Rock.

St Mirren snapped him up from Dumbarton in 2017, and later that season he was part of the Livingston squad which won promotion to what is now the cinch SPFL Premiership.

Spells with Morton, Falkirk and Queen of the South followed, and with Gregor having left the Dumfries side at the end of last season, Sons moved to bring him back.

Gregor has played 117 games for Dumbarton as of the start of season 2022/23, and has scored seven goals, four of which were scored last season.
