The 30-year-old man of many clubs made his senior debut as a teenager with Rangers — whom he joined from Celtic at the age of 14 — in 2009, and has gained extensive experience with clubs north and south of the border.

He has played for Bolton Wanderers, Aberdeen, St Mirren, Plymouth Argyle, Livingston, Clyde and East Stirling, and represented Scotland at under 17, under 19 and under 21 levels.

He most recently played in the SPFL for Clyde in 2020 before lockdown was imposed, and had been playing in the Lowland League before joining Dumbarton.

Gregg played 15 games during the later part of season 2021/22, scoring once.
