Luca, the nephew of ex-Celtic midfielder Rudi Vata, joined the first team squad in January 2023 after a successful spell with Dumbarton’s under-18 team.

His impressive performances in the youth ranks led to a stint training with the first team, which resulted in him joining the first team on amateur terms.

He was named in the first team squad for the first time away to Forfar Athletic in January 2023.
