A FEW people have questioned us on whether home play-off games should be part of the annual season ticket deal. As we’ve made clear before, that has never been the case in the past and unfortunately it can’t be this time either. But we’ve deliberately discounted walk-up prices.
The reason for this is simple. There are additional costs involved for the club, and we need gate money to help cover these. Being in the Championship stretches the resources of a smaller, part-time team. We need to be honest about that. But every penny you pay is invested wisely in seeking to secure our future at the highest level in the game.
So everyone will pay the walk-up price for Saturday’s crucial Championship semi-final second leg game against Arbroath at the Rock. But we’ve kept the adult price down to £16, offered a great £20 parent-and-child deal, and pitched concessions at £8 and kids under-12 at £5.
Dumbarton FC is also looking to reward our loyal fans in other ways. Our forthcoming announcement about ticket prices for next season will show that we’ve been listening to supporters and doing our best to make coming to watch Dumbarton value for money. We also have an active group looking at improving the match day experience in a variety of ways.
Meantime, do encourage your family and friends to #SupportOurSons on Saturday 5th May. Together, #WeCanDoThis!
