CLOSE season planning continues steadily at Dumbarton, with the forthcoming league and cup campaigns following the summer break firmly in view.
Seven years ago today the Sons won promotion to the second tier of Scottish professional football, staying in the Championship for an incredible six seasons.
Everyone associated with the club is looking to make 2019/2020 another memorable moment in the history of Scotland’s original champions.
In the meantime there’s a lot to get done – from financial planning and administrative matters through to discussions with the manager, which are set to continue later this week.
Club vice chairman Colin Hosie said: “We know everyone’s eager for more news at this time of year, and as soon as some further details have been ironed out that will happen.
“In the meantime, we’re hugely grateful for the continued backing from our fans and sponsors.
“One emphasis for the coming season will be building our supporter base, particularly with younger fans.
Colin added: “Early season ticket sales are a great help to us pre-season, and the ‘Buy a Brick’ scheme for the supporters’ wall is another fantastic initiative. Thanks to one and all!”
