WORK has begun at the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium in preparing our playing surface for the 2016/17 campaign.
During the next few weeks, the pitch will be subject to extensive work in what will be a shortened close season.
Chairman Alan Jardine said: “The money we are investing in the pitch during this summer will be considerable.
“Our groundsman Alan Brown and his team work tirelessly on the surface and the fact they presented a pitch for us to play on for the season just gone is quite remarkable really given the high amount of rain we experienced.”
Work will continue over the summer months ahead, making sure that the playing surface will be ready for pre-season and league cup action in July.
