Saturday 2nd April 2016
FOLLOWING today’s Ladbrokes Championship results, Sons remain the highest placed part-time club in the SPFL for a fourth consecutive season over the regular campaign outside of the play-offs.
Stevie Aitken’s team occupy eighth spot in the division – the country’s second professional footballing tier – with six games remaining. They are two points ahead of Livingston, with a game in hand.
Alloa Athletic’s 0-0 draw at the Tony Macaroni Arena against Livingston confirms the Clackmannanshire club’s relegation to League One.
Sons now face Championship winners elect Rangers on Tuesday 5th April 2016 at Ibrox Park, with the kick-off at 7.45pm. They will be looking to spoil a title party, as the Govan club require only a point to win automatic promotion to claim the Number One spot.
Tickets for Sons fans will be on sale from the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium on Monday from 9.30am.
