Sunday 12th May 2013
DAY two of the DFDL finals weekend produced a couple of excellent matches at the Bet Butler Stadium.
The action got underway today at 11am with the local derby between Clydebank BC and Kilpatrick BC in the 15s final.
A noisy but good natured crowd helped settle both teams by creating a good atmosphere with plenty banter flowing.
On the park, the Bankies took an early lead and dominated the first half, however Kilpatrick showed grit, determination and flair in the second period to overwhelm their rivals 4-1.
In the afternoon it was another derby affair in the 14s League Cup with Lochgilphead Red Star playing Oban Saints.
Oban eventually triumphed 4-3 in what was a terrific game for action and entertainment and brought the curtain down on a terrific weekend of football.
