THE break from league football this weekend has not been a holiday for Dumbarton’s squad.
Gaffer Alan Adamson along with his coaching staff had the players in to the Bet Butler Stadium for a training game on Saturday, and it was a workout that the manager thought was necessary.
He said : “it’s a pity that we didn’t have a game to help with the obvious momentum from the Raith Rovers result, but the session we had was a pleasing exercise and it was important that we got together.
“We played a bounce game amongst ourselves with players from the reserve and youth squads helping out.
“Falkirk are our next opponents and being prepared for their visit is vital. And with Airdrie United at home the following week, it’s a crucial time for us.”
