SONS have no game this weekend but both the squad and manager have been busy in preparation for the vital game against Montrose next week.
With the transfer window open, Jim Duffy is on the look out for additions to the playing pool.
Jim said : “We are currently looking at a number of players in an effort to boost the squad and we will have new faces in place before next Saturday’s game.”
And last Thursday, Sons defeated Kilbirnie Ladeside 3-0 in a bounce match where several trialists featured.
Ben Armour, Stuart Carswell and a trialist scored.
The game also saw players get back into playing following long term injuries.
Craig Barr and Grant Adam played as did Ross Perry and all three are fighting their way back to fitness.
Treatment continues too on Rory Loy whose troublesome back injury has kept him out for months and there was further good news for Willie Dyer who is recovering from a nasty viral infection that sidelined him last week ahead of the Brechin game.
