DUMBARTON were given a good workout in today’s friendly with Hearts, which ended 2-0 to the Edinburgh side.
They went behind to a penalty on 12 minutes when Craig Barr’s challenge on Uche Ikpeazu was punished. The striker scored the spot kick himself.
The second half was a little more pedestrian but a trialist striker went close for Sons, having an effort saved at close range after cutting into the area.
Ikpeazu sealed it for Hearts with five minutes left when Grant Adam saved from Jake Mulraney only for the striker to follow up.
