DUMBARTON went through a useful pre-season exercise away to East Kilbride tonight, with the match ending in a 2-1 win for the home side.
Kalvin Orsi (pictured) opened the scoring early on for Sons, only for Neil McLaughlin to respond for East Kilbride from the penalty spot.
Missing several key players, and finishing the game with six trialists on the field, Dumbarton conceded the only goal of the second half to Craig Malcolm.
Dumbarton started with: Ramsbottom; McGeever, Lynch, Buchanan, Trialist, Geggan, Orsi, Stokes, Paton, Duthie, Hopkirk. Six further trialists were on the bench, with five being used in the second half to replace (in order they went off) Paton, Buchanan, Stokes, Orsi and Duthie.
Attention now switches to Saturday’s closed door friendly at home to Motherwell, which kicks off at noon.
