NEW KIT MAN HEADS TO THE ROCK

Thursday 27th August 2020

A SECOND key member of the backroom team has checked into Dumbarton FC today, with Douglas Fyffe becoming our new kit man.

The 30-year-old hopes to keep smiles on faces in more ways than one, as he is practice manager at Vale Smile Care Ltd dentists in his hometown of Alexandria.

He replaces Robert Brooks, who left the club with our best wishes for the future at the end of last season.

And he will already be familiar with his ‘new’ surroundings at the C&G Systems Stadium.

Douglas said: “I was at Dumbarton FC from 2013 to 2015 as a masseur, then went to St Mirren from 2015 to early 2016 in the same role.

“Since then I have retrained as a dental nurse, completing my BSc. My current job role is practice manager at Vale Smile Care Ltd in Alexandria.”

Welcome to DFC Douglas!

Douglas is the second appointment of the day, with Jim Paton already having been announced as the club’s new groundskeeper.

Commenting on the appointments, general manager Antonia Love said: “These are two key positions at Dumbarton and we’re delighted to have recruited two passionate people who we know will serve us well.

“Jim and Douglas stood out among the candidates for their respective posts and they’re very keen to get started.

“We’ve made two important signings today – now the focus is on making more among the squad.”
