DUMBARTON FC is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Gervaise as the club’s new Head of Youth Development.
Local man Tony brings a wealth of experience to the role and is a welcome addition to the club’s staff.
Older Sons fans will remember him playing for Clydebank FC where he made over 150 appearances for our county neighbours over a seven year spell at Kilbowie.
After retiring as a player, Gervaise was an assistant coach at Clydebank, helping the club reach the Scottish Cup semi-finals in 1990.
In 2004 he became Head of Youth Development at the SFA, and the following year took over the Scottish U-15, U-17 and U-19 girls’ sides.
He said: “I’m delighted to be working with such a progressive club.
“I want us to develop an even better reputation for nurturing young talent and this is a challenge I am very excited about.”
Youth Director Alan Findlay added : “We want to attract the best young talent in West Dunbartonshire and beyond to the Sons
“Tony’s job, working with our existing coaching staff, will be to make this aspect of the club’s football operation even stronger.
“He will also have a wider community remit which we hope to develop and I’m looking forward to working with him in that respect.”
