DUMBARTON FC is pleased to confirm the appointment of a new director and member of the club’s board.
Stephanie Park is the new Sons Supporters’ Trust (Sonstrust) representative. She was appointed following an election involving all members of the trust, and agreement with the club.
Stephanie has been a loyal supporter of the Sons since her youth, and was involved in setting up the Sonstrust in 2001/2.
She has served as a police officer for over 25 years, and holds a degree in business management.
At present she also organises hospitality for the club, and is a well-known figure in the local Dumbarton community.
Dumbarton FC’s chairman. John Steele, welcomed the appointment. “It’s great to have Stephanie joining us. She brings experience and enthusiasm to the board at just the right time, because of the challenges we face.
“It’s also right and proper, and indeed overdue, that the club has a woman on the board for the first time in our 148-year history,” he added.
“Fans will have a strong voice and advocate in Stephanie,” said Sonstrust secretary, Jack Brough.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to all the work that outgoing trust nominee Alan Findlay did over many years.
“Thanks, too, to the other candidates, Robbi Docherty and David Brownlee, and for Sonstrust members responding so well to the vote – which had an online turnout of 69%.”
