Wednesday 4th June 2014
MANAGER Ian Murray is back on the signing trail this week and has agreed terms with namesake Hugh for another season.
Hugh joined the club from Premiership side Partick Thistle for an initial loan period until the January 2014 transfer window, when he secured his release from Thistle and joined Sons on contract until the end of the season.
He holds the record of most appearances for a St Mirren player, at 462, and is an inductee in the Buddies Hall of Fame. He came through the youth ranks at the Paisley club and had a testimonial year in 2007.
He made three appearances for the Scotland under 21 side, and was the first ever St Mirren player to gain three winners medals in national competitions. He has two First Division medals and a Scottish Challenge Cup medal.
Welcome back, Shug!
