DUMBARTON manager Ian Murray made a guest appearance on BBC1 Scotland’s ‘Sportscene’ this weekend, analysing two sensational Scottish Cup semi-finals – and being quizzed about his midweek opponents.
Reviewing Falkirk’s performance against his old team, Hibernian, at the Hampden, the Sons gaffer, whose team face the Bairns away on Tuesday night acknowledged them as a “great young team.”
Of their impressive first half semi-final performance, Murray declared: “Everyone at the game was thinking this could have been four or five [goals] at half-time, but you have to give Hibs credit for coming back with an astonishing second half turnaround.”
Dumbarton know that, despite a draining game at Hampden, Falkirk will be formidable opponents out to prove themselves on 16th April.
The Sons boss, his staff and team are determined to get back on the points bandwagon, with four crucial games left in Sons’ 2012/13 SFL First Division campaign, and the clear aim of finishing eighth or higher.
You can catch the 14th April edition of ‘Sportscene’ on the BBC iPlayer for the rest of the week.
