SONS boss Ian Murray was extremely disappointed as he reflected on last Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Queen of the South.
Slipping one place in the SPFL Championship league table is not giving major cause for concern, however the Palmerston defeat has brought things into sharp focus for the manager.
He said: “Whilst I don’t agree that the incident that led to the penalty was in fact a spot-kick, the first goal was always going to be crucial.
“There are very few positives that we can take from the game and we were poor. We know we can play better.”
The gaffer’s attention now turns to this weekend’s clash against Livingston, a match that can rightly be labelled as ‘crucial’.
“It’s important that we now start to pick up points,” continued Ian.
“Livingston too are fighting at the end of the table we’d all like to avoid, so we have to be at our best.”
And in an effort to boost attendance at the game, prices at the Energy Assets Arena have been reduced as follows: Adults – £15, Concessions – £12, Under-16s – £8 (please note that all concessions must have valid ID).
