Dumbarton have the first of back-to-back fixtures with the top two sides in the division tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Peterhead [kick-off 3.00pm].
The Blue Toon are second in cinch League Two, with only goal difference separating them from Stenhousemuir in top spot.
Sons are just two points behind in third as the league season heats up, despite temperatures dropping, and Faz hailed his side for last weeks heroics over Annan Athletic as they made it five wins on the bounce.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s game, he said: “The cup tie on Saturday was one of the best games I’ve ever been involved in and I thought we deserved to win the game.
“We showed so many traits with our attacking force and then our resilience to come back when we went behind.
“We showed many things in the group that’s going to stand us in good stead for the rest of the season and that we can win games in different ways which is really pleasing.
“The challenge tomorrow another difficult test for us, as they all are this season, and we will need to continue to show all of the abilities and traits that we have been showing recently.
“Whilst the next two games won’t define the remainder of the season, we are keen to pick up a couple of positive results and we know that at our best we are more than capable of doing that.”
Mark Durnan, Callum Wilson and Greig Young remain on the sidelines tomorrow, but Declan Byrne is set to return after he missed out last week due to work commitments.
The sides have met once this season and the Blue Toon came out on top, winning 1-0 at the Rock in September thanks to Hamish Ritchie’s 85th minute winner.
