Dumbarton are back on the road tomorrow afternoon when they make the journey to Methil where East Fife await.
Sons travel in confidence having picked up a 4-0 win over Bonnyrigg Rose on Saturday whilst the hosts will be looking to bounce back after disappointing consecutive defeats to Dunbar United in the Scottish Cup and Peterhead on league duty last weekend.
The sides have met once this season, with a late header from Sean Crighton [pictured] earning Sons all three points at the Rock in September in a 1-0 victory.
The Fifers currently sit in seventh in cinch League Two with ten points from ten games as they look to pull away from the sides at the bottom of the table and move towards the play-off spaces.
Boss Stevie Farrell was delighted with the performance against Bonnyrigg as he looks to make the Rock a fortress in the season ahead, but knows tomorrow’s display needs to be just as good if they are to gain all three points.
He told the clubs website: “If we’re going to be successful, then your home form has got to be good and you’ve got to be a tough nut to crack.
“You’ve got to play on the front foot and make sure you are clinical at the top end of the pitch and all those things were there last weekend.
“I wasn’t happy with the way we started the game against Bonnyrigg but after that ten-minute spell we settled and the penalty settles us down. We looked a good side after that.
“East Fife will be hurting after a couple of sore results but will be looking to bounce back tomorrow, and having won 4-0 in their last home game we know how dangerous they can be.
“That being said, we’ll be looking to go there and carry on with much of the performance that we showed last week and if we can do that then we have every chance of a successful outcome.”
Faz remains without Greig Young and Callum Wilson for tomorrow’s trip whilst Mark Durnan will also sit out injured.
