Dumbarton are back in action this evening as Spartans visit the Rock in a re-arranged cinch League Two fixture [kick-off 7.45pm].
Both sides will be looking for a response after failing to win at the weekend – Sons led twice against Forfar but were pegged back on both occasions, whilst Spartans suffered a home defeat to Elgin City.
Only one point separate the sides in the league table with Stevie Farrell’s side in fourth and the Ainslie Park outfit narrowly ahead in third.
Despite taking just one point from their last two outings, Faz has been pleased with performances and knows his side will need to be at their best this evening.
He told the clubs website: “The players played well on Saturday and we’ve put in two good performances over the last two weeks where we deserved a point against Stenhousemuir and three points against Forfar.
“If the players keep playing the way they are playing and creating the chances that we are then it will start falling for them.
“It’s the finest of lines for us at the moment but we know we aren’t far away.
”We know exactly what to expect against Spartans this evening which is a well organised defensive side with players in attack who can hurt you. Results against them this season speak for themselves so we are looking to put that right.”
In team news, Ryan Blair returns to the squad after suspension and Kalvin Orsi is back from injury. Brett Long, Mark Durnan, Greig Young and Callum Wilson remain out.
