MATCH PREVIEW: DUMBARTON VS KELTY HEARTS
Dumbarton host Kelty Hearts at the Marbill Coaches Stadium tomorrow afternoon in the first ever league meeting between the sides [kick-off 3:00pm].
The Sons remain undefeated across their four League One matches so far, picking up a draw in each of them, whilst the visitors are the early pacesetters at the top of the division with two victories and two draws.
Stevie Farrell’s side may find themselves a little unfortunate not to have already picked up their first win of the season – last weekend against Arbroath in particular – but the Dumbarton boss has been pleased with his troops never-say-die attitude.
Speaking to the clubs website, he said: “We were ultimately coming away last weekend amazed that we didn’t win the game despite being two goals down with 20 minutes to go.
“We have shown a real determination by coming from behind to pick up a point in all of our games so far and that was further demonstrated against Arbroath.
“The next challenge for us is to stop allowing teams to get their noses in front and that’s going to be crucial tomorrow against a well drilled side.
“Kelty have been impressive at both ends of the park, particularly in defence with three clean sheets from their opening four games.
“We know we can do damage in front of goal however and that shows as we have scored the most goals in the division.”
It’s a full squad to choose from for Farrell as Kalvin Orsi returned to training on Thursday evening after missing out last weekend.
