Dumbarton host Elgin City tomorrow in their final home match of the regular cinch League Two season [kick-off 3.00pm].

Sons have secured their spot in the top four but come up against an Elgin side in decent form, with the Borough Briggs side having held the other three teams in the top four of the table to draws in recent weeks.

Whilst Dumbarton’s spot in the play-offs is guaranteed, their final league position is still undetermined and boss Stevie Farrell doesn’t want his players looking any further than tomorrow’s fixture.

Speaking to the clubs website, he said: “It was good to keep our unbeaten run going last weekend and whilst we gave away the most amount of chances we have in recent weeks, to make it six games unbeaten and five clean sheets in a row is impressive.

“We went up to Elgin in January and were one of the few that went up there and won in a really tight game so I expect nothing else on Saturday. It’s our only focus and we’re not looking at anything beyond that in the league or the play-offs.

“We need to make sure we continue in this vein of form; it’s difficult because I’m trying to give as much game time as I can in the next few weeks to make sure everyone is as fit as they can be but we also want to keep this momentum going so it’s about finding the balance.”

Farrell also reports that only long-term absentees Brett Long and Greig Young will miss out tomorrow.
