Dumbarton host Clyde tomorrow afternoon in their penultimate home match of the regular cinch League Two season [kick-off 3.00pm].

Both sides have plenty to play for at this late stage of the season, though at opposite ends of the league table.

Sons could confirm their spot in the promotion play-offs if they were to win and East Fife lost at home to Bonnyrigg Rose as they are currently eight points clear of fifth with four games to go.

The Bully Wee moved off the bottom of the league table after last weeks dramatic victory over Stranraer and will be looking to pull away further from Stranraer at the foot of the division with three points.

Dumbarton boss Stevie Farrell insists his side won’t be looking elsewhere to see what they need to do and hopes they can continue their recent good form.

He told the clubs website: “Last weeks win at Forfar was another impressive performance in difficult conditions where we battled against the wind and controlled much of the game.

“We have been on a solid run of late going four games unbeaten, scoring ten goals along the way and keeping clean sheets in our last three.

“Tomorrow we will just be looking to do what we have been doing all season, which is focus on our own performance because we know if we do that then we give ourselves an excellent chance of a positive outcome.

“Both sides are in need of points for different reasons and Clyde have shown that they can hurt us this season, so being at our best is imperative.”

In team news, Michael Ruth and David Wilson are set to return to the match day squad. Brett Long, Greig Young and Callum Wilson remain sidelined.
