Dumbarton make the journey to Galabank tomorrow afternoon for League Two action against Annan Athletic [kick-off 3:00pm].
Sons are unbeaten in five matches in all competitions having wiped out the five-point deduction they were hit with after entering administration last season with two wins, coming over Clyde and Spartans, and one draw, with Elgin City, from three league fixtures taking them to positive points.
The hosts, meanwhile, are also yet to suffer a defeat in the league this term having won 3-2 against Elgin City on the opening day which was followed up with draws against Stirling Albion and Edinburgh City.
Dumbarton boss Stevie Farrell admits his side weren’t at their best in last weeks draw with Elgin but was pleased to see a different challenge presented to them.
Speaking last week, he said: “I didn’t think we were good, we were disjointed and slow on second balls. We changed the shape at half-time and it helped us because we started the second-half better.
“If we weren’t going to win it then it was important not to get beat and keep the momentum going. We had to show something different and we did that.
“We’ve led in the last few games and had to see results out but it’s good for me and the coaching team to see us going behind and not playing well to try and find a solution to that and we managed to do that.
“We analyze everything every week, we’ll get the report on Annan and look at our own injury situation. We’ve got a good squad and everyone is going to have a part to play without a shadow of a doubt.”
Farrell welcomes Ryan Blair back to his squad for the trip tomorrow after he served a one-match suspension. Dom Docherty is available despite coming off injured last week though tomorrow comes too soon for Kristian Webster who hobbled off from last weeks cup tie against St Mirren B. He is expected to be available for the visit of Hearts B on Tuesday. Brett Long remains out.
