POPULAR young Dumbarton defender or midfielder Martin McNiff today signed a new contract.
Martin, a product of the Sons 19s, signed a two year contract extension at the Dumbarton Football Stadium this afternoon.
He first joined the club in August 2007 and is now considered a first team regular, forming an excellent defensive partnership with the more experienced Alan Lithgow which played a significant part in Sons winning through the play-offs in May to reach the first division.
