THE DUMBARTON FC Manager’s Fund, set up by fans in association with the Sonstrust and launched today, has got off to a flying start – and eagerly awaits further contributions!
Paul McDonald, who played a key part in setting up the fund, along with Robbi Docherty and others, handed over an incredibly generous cheque for £300 to kick-start the fund. Added to that, donations through Gillie Brough amount to £1,000 towards an initial target – set in collaboration with DFC boss Jim Duffy – of £5,000.
The fund is additional to the fixed player budget the club works on. We hope it will offer a boost and added flexibility to Jim as he continues to build, shape and develop our young Sons squad. It has already enabled us to make our first new signing, Adam Frizzell, on loan from Kilmarnock.
“This will be a real help, and it’s great that supporters are making this kind of commitment to the team at an important point,” the gaffer said today.
To contribute, you can set up a Standing Order (email: firstname.lastname@example.org) or donate in person to Paul McDonald , Jordan Brownlee, Gillie Brough or Robbi Docherty in the Community Suite / Bar72 at the C&G Systems Stadium. Online payments can be made via PayPal. Paper forms are available at the Stadium or can be sent by email. The account and fund is exclusively ring-fenced for the purpose of supplementing the player budget.
All contributions will be carefully recorded for accounting purposes. Please also note that any data you supply to us will not be passed to a third party, will be handled in strict compliance with Data Protection legislation.
