MANAGER PREPARES FOR TRANSFER WINDOW

AS the end of the calendar year approaches, gaffer Ian Murray has confirmed that work underway to strengthen his squad during the January transfer window.

The Sons boss revealed that he has been busy in the last few weeks and is hopeful of confirming some good news soon.

“Today we started re-shaping the squad with Steven and Shuggy moving on”, said Ian.

“Both players want to play regularly and they have the opportunity to do this at Clyde and I wish them both well at Broadwood.

“We are actively looking to boost the numbers with some quality, but at this time of year it’s not easy, however we know the gaps that are needing filled.

“Kieran (MacDonald) has also returned to Accies after his loan spell and again we thank him for his contribution.”

Rangers at Ibrox are Sons next opponents and the manager is preparing his players for another crucial match.

He continued: “We played well at Cowden and deservedly won the game and we now face Rangers at their own place in what will be another tough game.

“Hopefully we can keep up momentum and come away with a positive result.”
