Saturday 6th April 2013
THE Sons struggled to shine at the Rock this afternoon, as Livingston eased their way to a comfortable 3-0 victory on a sunny but cold afternoon.
In the first half the visitors passed the ball around but did not look particularly menacing in the final third, until teenage Livi debutant Kyle Lander pounced on a good chance in the box to give them the lead on 32 minutes.
A depleted Dumbarton side endured the worst possible restart after the break, as Paul Watson exploited uncertainty at the back to make it 2-0.
The final blow in a disappointing game for Sons came when Danny Mullen broke through to wrap up the game and secure all three points for Livingston.
Raith Rovers are the next visitors to the Bet Butler Stadium on Tuesday evening, 9th April, when Sons will hope to get their campaign back on track.
