DUMBARTON have been boosted in the absence of any match action today, as the three teams below them in League One who played have all lost.

In a match which saw Sons’ next two opponents clash, Clyde were beaten 1-0 at Raith Rovers.

Peterhead lost 2-0 at home to Airdrieonians while bottom team Stranraer were defeated 4-2 at East Fife.

Those results keep Dumbarton four points clear of Clyde and Peterhead, six ahead of today’s scheduled opponents Forfar Athletic, and 13 above Stranraer. They have a game in hand on Stranraer and Peterhead.

In the division’s other game today, Falkirk beat Montrose 1-0.

Dumbarton hope to return to action this Tuesday, February 25, when Clyde are visitors to the C&G Systems Stadium.
