DUMBARTON moved down a place to seventh in League One at a very early stage in the season after today’s games in the division.
Cove Rangers went top after a 2-0 win at Peterhead, while Sons’ opponents last week, Forfar Athletic, made it two draws out of two after holding Falkirk 1-1 away from home.
Next week’s opponents Airdrieonians were narrowly beaten 2-1 by Partick Thistle at Firhill, while East Fife and Montrose drew 2-2 at New Bayview, Montrose coming back from two goals down.
That result kept the two teams behind Dumbarton on goal difference, while Peterhead are awaiting their first point.
