THE vote for a black and gold Dumbarton kit for season 2020/21 has been well-received, with dozens of votes cast in the opening 24 hours.
As a thank you to our supporters for standing by us during the recent Covid-19 outbreak, we are giving them the chance to choose our kit for next season.
The vote for a black and gold kit is currently in progress and open until Saturday, May 2. It can be accessed here.
Following this, a vote will take place from four options for a white kit.
This will then be followed by a third vote to determine which of the two winners will be our home kit next season, with the other becoming the away strip.
With football’s current climate, an off-the-shelf kit from manufacturers Joma was felt to be the best option for the coming season.
A bespoke kit would carry a significantly higher cost, and with the club’s 150th anniversary year looming, it was felt that the cost is worth saving for then.
We understand the wishes of some of our fans for a bespoke kit, but financial prudence is of paramount importance.
Meanwhile, our crowdfunding page continues to make strides and is closing in on £19,000.
Anybody wishing to make a donation – all of which are extremely welcome – can do so here.
