Monday 15th September 2014
WE are extremely sad to report that Kirsty Mackie, a hugely dedicated Sons fan who was known and loved by everyone at the Rock, passed away unexpectedly over the weekend.
All connected with Dumbarton FC — staff, directors, players, the trust and fellow supporters — send their deepest sympathies and condolences to Kirsty’s family and to her many friends at this very difficult time. She will be hugely missed.
Kirsty was one of the Sons’ most loyal supporters. In 2011 she won the then new Graham Brough Memorial Shield for Fan of the Year.
She was a regular at home and away matches, and Dumbarton Football Club played a major part in her life.
Tributes and details of funeral arrangements to follow.
