DUMBARTON are back home tomorrow to face East Fife in a game which has the potential to improve the look of the cinch League One table.
Victory against the Fifers could move Sons level on points with eighth-placed Alloa Athletic, although barring an unlikely swing in goal difference, they would remain ninth.
With East Fife’s previous visit being the only home league victory registered so far this season, it is no secret that Dumbarton need to improve results on their own pitch.
They also need to give a response to last week’s deflating result, and neither of these are lost on manager Stevie Farrell.
The gaffer said: “Playing at home is viewed as an advantage for a good reason. If we are to improve our league position then we simply must improve results on our own pitch.
“That, though, does not mean it will be easy against East Fife tomorrow. They have a lot at stake themselves and we must ensure we match their endeavour and workrate from the start.
“We know we can beat them at home, having done it in great fashion earlier this season, but a lot has happened since then.
“Tomorrow is a new challenge for us and we must ensure we are ready.”
Long-term injury victims Ryan McGeever and Kristoffer Syvertsen once again will not feature tomorrow, but no other absentees are reported.
As per our story earlier this week, entry will be by season ticket or cash at the turnstile tomorrow.
The turnstiles will keep count of how many supporters enter the stadium to ensure the spectator limit is adhered to.
Supporters are reminded to wear a face covering in indoor areas, except when seated in Bar 72, and are encouraged to take a lateral flow test ahead of arriving at the stadium.
If you can’t get to the stadium tomorrow, then live streaming is available.
There will also be in-play Twitter commentary on our feed @DumbartonFC.
You can also take part in our 50/50 draw even if you’re not able to attend tomorrow.
Alan Newlands is the referee for tomorrow’s game, with Ross MacLeod and Gary Hilland running the lines.
