As we continue to rebuild and strengthen, we’re calling on passionate individuals to play a part in shaping the future of our historic club, on matchdays, behind the scenes, and out in the community.
We’re currently recruiting for several volunteer roles that are central to the matchday and supporter experience. Whether you’re a lifelong Son of the Rock, a local football enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys working with people, there’s a place for you at Dumbarton FC.
All volunteer roles include free access to home games, and the club will arrange and cover the cost of a PVG Disclosure, which is required for each position.
Mascot Performer – Pele the Elephant
Location: The Rock
Time Commitment: Home fixtures – mainly Saturdays, occasional evenings
Type: Volunteer | Start ASAP
Pele the Elephant is more than just a mascot — he’s the face of fun at The Rock. From pitchside antics and pre-match bar visits to selfie stops with young fans, Pele brings energy and joy to every matchday.
We’re looking for a confident, enthusiastic volunteer to bring Pele to life. You’ll be engaging with fans, dancing by the dugout, and spreading smiles across the stadium and beyond.
No experience is necessary — just a love for football, fun, and community spirit.
Volunteer Merchandise Manager
Location: Dumbarton Stadium
Time Commitment: Home games plus occasional midweek planning
Type: Volunteer | Start ASAP
Merchandise is how our fans wear their pride — from scarves and shirts to souvenirs and replica kits. We’re looking for a hands-on, organised volunteer to manage the club shop and help shape our retail presence.
The role includes matchday shop operations, liaising with suppliers, stock management, and supporting future product development. If you have an eye for retail and enjoy connecting with people, this is a great opportunity to contribute to the club’s identity, both on and off the pitch.
Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO)
Location: Dumbarton Stadium and local events (some remote work possible)
Time Commitment: Flexible hours – mainly matchdays and community events

The SLO is a vital link between the club and its supporters — championing fan feedback, coordinating supporter engagement, and ensuring that all voices are heard and respected.
We’re looking for a passionate and empathetic individual who believes in inclusive football, open dialogue, and building stronger connections between club and community. This role plays a key part in shaping a positive, fan-first culture at Dumbarton.
Ticket Manager
Location: Dumbarton Stadium
Time Commitment: Home matchdays plus some flexible midweek hours
Type: Volunteer | Start ASAP
A smooth, friendly matchday starts with efficient ticketing. We’re seeking a reliable and well-organised volunteer to manage ticket operations — from walk-up sales and season ticket queries to liaising with turnstile teams and handling post-match reconciliation.
This is a great fit for someone with strong people skills and a passion for matchday operations.
