AUTHOR and broadcaster Daniel Gray will give a talk celebrating the beautiful game at Dumbarton Library as part of DFC’s 150th anniversary exhibition on Wednesday, November 9.
Danile – also editor of Nutmeg, a Scottish football magazine – will read from his ‘footballing delights’ series of books, bringing to life the glories of local radio commentators, referees falling over and old-fashioned wingers, among other reminders of why we love football.
He will also take us on a mini-tour of Scottish football via excerpts from past books Stramash and Snapshot, and his forthcoming work The Silence of the Stands, published the day after this event. Join this cheerful meander through the national game.
The event will start at 6pm and is expected to finish around 7.15pm. It is free to attend, but you must register in advance.
