DIRECTOR John Kane has informed the club that he is stepping down from his directors role at Dumbarton Football Stadium with immediate effect.
Chairman Alan Jardine who accepted John’s resignation paid tribute to his work and contribution at Dumbarton Football Club.
He said : “John is stepping away from his role at DFC after six years service and he does so for personal reasons.
“His contribution to the future wellbeing of Dumbarton FC cannot be understated and he will be missed as a valuable member of the board.
“I’d like to place on record my personal thanks and that of the other board members for the time and effort he has devoted to the club and in his role as Stadium Director.
“He has been a source of calm and measured advice and someone who always has the genuine interest of the club at heart.”
John remains a fan and is sure to be seen around the stadium in the seasons ahead.
