MIDFIELDER Joe McKee, who had a great season at Dumbarton in 2019/20, has now signed a deal for a second spell with the club on a two-year deal.
He registered 15 assists during his first tenure as a Sons player, as well as scoring two goals in 28 games for the club.
His performances alerted Championship outfit Queen of the South, who offered him the chance of full-time football in the 2020 close season.
Following his release by the Dumfries outfit, he is now back at the Rock, and hopeful of making the same contribution he made first time around.
Joe’s senior career really took off with Morton in 2013/14, and after a brief stay with Carlisle United, he then returned north to join Falkirk.
A loan spell at Irish side Dundalk was next, before his first spell with Dumbarton.
Manager Stevie Farrell said: “I know that Dumbarton were sorry to see Joe leave after his first spell with the club, so we are delighted he is now back.
“It is well-documented how well he did in his first spell here and I know how keen he is to repeat that success. He’ll be a big player for us.”
Look out for an interview with Joe on the club website later today.
