DUMBARTON FC are delighted to announce that Jim Duffy has agreed terms to continue as manager for the coming 2020/21 season.
The gaffer will mark exactly two years in charge of Sons when the League One season kicks off on its planned date of Saturday, October 17.
As he continues his recovery from recent health problems, Jim was delighted to pledge his immediate future to the club.
He said: “This was an easy decision to make and now that the process is complete I can start preparing for next season.
“We know that the coming season will be a challenge, but I am always up for a challenge and I’m ready for the latest one with Dumbarton.
“I will now begin the process of assembling a squad for the coming season and I would hope to have some news in the next few days.
“Our supporters are key to our continued progress as a club and I’m delighted to be continuing to serve them. We’ll do our utmost to deliver a good season.”
Sons chairman John Steele added: “Jim has done an excellent job in his time with us so far and it was a no-brainer to ask him to agree a new deal.
“Anybody who knows Jim knows what a passion he has for the game, and that shines through to his players.
“We will back him to the fullest extent during what is a truncated 2020/21 season and we know we can rely on our supporters to do the same.”
We’ll have all the news on Jim’s squad-building process here on the club website as and when signings happen.
