JAMIE EWINGS SAYS FAREWELL

Friday 2nd October 2020

HAVING served Dumbarton since 2011, Jamie Ewings has stepped down from his position as goalkeeper coach.

The 36-year-old has left his post due to family commitments. He first came to the club as a close season signing from Alloa Athletic and was part of the squad who won promotion in 2012.

His seven years as a player with Dumbarton saw many highlights, perhaps most notably a stunning display against Rangers at Ibrox in April 2016 which saw the home side narrowly win to clinch the Championship title.

He took up the post of goalkeeping coach in June 2017 and hung up his playing gloves a year later.

Everybody at Dumbarton FC sends their very best wishes to Jamie for the future and thanks him for his long service.

We will have news of Jamie’s replacement online shortly.
