Goalkeeper Jack McConnell has completed a deal to join Dumbarton for the new season.
The 22-year-old former Scotland youth international has been named as a trialist for both our Premier Sports Cup games, but has now put pen to paper on a permanent deal at The Rock.
Jack started his career at Rangers, spending time on loan at Ayr United, before moving to Hearts.
His SPFL journey continued with Arbroath where he was a member of the Lichties side that lifted the League One title.
Jack’s next stop was Lowland League Broxburn Athletic, before he spent the latter half of last season on loan at West of Scotland League champions Auchinleck Talbot.
Boss Frank McKeown said: “Jack has impressed us during his time on trial and we’re delighted to have completed a deal to bring him to the club.
“He’s got good experience and has been a member of a number of successful squads, and brings those standards with him.
“We’re really pleased with the options we have in the goalkeeping department now. Jack and Aidan are both young players and I know that they have a real hunger to push each other to improve.”
