LAST season’s top scorer Isaac Layne has returned to Dumbarton on loan from Peterhead until the end of the 2020/21 season.
The striker hit nine goals for Sons during the 2019/20 campaign before it was curtailed, and decided that Balmoor would be his next stop.
He has scored three goals for Peterhead during the current season, and manager Jim Duffy hopes that Isaac can replicate the form he showed to take the top scorer title last season.
The gaffer said: “We were disappointed to lose Isaac at the end of last season so we’re delighted that he’s back with us for the ending to this campaign.
“His title as our top scorer speaks for itself about what he did for us first time around and he’s looking forward to trying to add to his goal tally during his second spell.
“It’s a big boost for us ahead of the tough schedule we have coming up.”
Isaac is added to the squad for tonight’s game against Falkirk.
The move has been made possible with the support of our stadium and shirt sponsors C&G Systems, who have once again been a magnificent support to the club.
