WEST of Scotland League outfit Irvine Meadow XI will give Dumbarton one last friendly test ahead of the new league season tomorrow.
The game, which kicks off at 12.30pm at Meadow Park in Irvine, is Sons’ last match action before cinch League Two business begins next Saturday.
And it will also be part of a gala day at the ground, with the game being a meeting of teams celebrating notable anniversaries this year.
Meadow finished eighth in the 20-team West of Scotland Premier Division last season. They have already played a number of friendlies against Stranraer, Caledonian Braves and Kilwinning Rangers, as well as taking part in a tournament at Kilbirnie Ladeside last weekend.
They are co-managed by James Latta and Colin Spence.
Ryan McGeever and Edin Lynch will again not feature for Dumbarton at Meadow Park, although they are continuing to recover from injury.
However, Ross MacLean (pictured) should be available after missing the Raith Rovers game, and no further injuries are reported after Tuesday’s match.
With the cup campaign now at an end, it is possible that trialists could be involved tomorrow.
Supporters travelling to Irvine by public transport should note that a music festival is taking place in Irvine over the weekend, so public transport could be busy.
Admission to the match will cost £5 for adults and £3 for concessions. Kids go free when accompanied by a paying adult.
There are no live streaming arrangements for the game, but we will have coverage on our social media channels.
