DUMBARTON FC’s vice chairman has thanked all those who sent positive messages after the feature about the Club’s young fans on the BBC’s Football Focus show.

Now Colin Hosie is encouraging supporters old and new to sign up for the #SonsSeasonTicketPledge to help Dumbarton prepare for a 27-match 2020/21 League One campaign set to commence on 17th October.

Colin explains: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the kind and supportive messages which have come in to the C&G Systems Stadium since BBC1 showed the fabulous short film about out Young Sons of the Rock, which was first broadcast by ‘A View From the Terrace’ last year.

“What our young fans have demonstrated is that there’s no substitute for live football, and that a smaller Club like ours can really make you feel part of the action – not just a distant TV spectator.

“So what better way of getting involved than by making your pledge to buy a season ticket for October, and joining the Young Sons as they get behind Dumbarton for a new season?

“We aim to make the Rock a really welcoming place for fans of all ages and backgrounds, and we’re really grateful to our young supporters for helping to spread the word.”

Dumbarton FC has nowreleased an initial 300 season tickets for the new campaign. The initial response has been incredible, but there are still some tickets left.

The idea is to pledge £10 to reserve yours. When the full tickets go on sale you will have this £10 credited to your purchase.

Meanwhile, if you missed the short film everyone’s taking about, BBC1’s Football Focus on Saturday 18th July is available on catch-up on BBC iPlayer and other platforms for a week.

The film about the Young Sons of the Rock is also available online here.
